About Cascade Bicycle Club
Cascade Bicycle Club, a non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington, serves more than 14,000 members and the Puget Sound bicycling community. Our mission is to Create a Better Community through Bicycling. Cascade is operated by a 11-member volunteer Board of Directors, 22 professional staff, four AmeriCorps members, and thousands of volunteers.
To join, please complete our Membership Form. A club newsletter, the Cascade Courier, including the rides calendar, is published monthly and distributed free to all members. (You can pick up a copy of the Courier at the club office).

Rides and Activities
The Cascade Presentation Series covers a wide range of topics of interest to members and the general cycling community. Meeting locations and times vary.
Cascade volunteers lead over 1,000 free daily club rides - at least one ride virtually every day of the year. The club also leads multiple day club tours and Cascade Affiliated International Tours. The Ride Calendars are available online. Rides are open to anyone wearing a helmet. Waivers must be signed. Night rides require lights. Cascade is active locally in advocacy and education to improve the facilities and safety of all cyclists. The Club hosts several online message boards, including Bike Talk, Government and Policy, Bike Commuting, Cascade Rides and Events, Classified Advertising, and forums for buying and selling Cascade event registrations. Cascade produces several major event rides during the year. The most famous is our double-century ride, the Group Health SEATTLE TO PORTLAND (STP) BICYCLE CLASSIC. Our events are:
Administration
The board of directors meets on the third Wednesday of each other month (January, March, etc.). Meetings are posted on our online calendar and are open to anyone interested. Board elections are held in October.

The Cascade Bicycle Club is dedicated to providing bicycle activities to promote individual health and recreation, and education and advocacy to promote a more bicycle friendly environment and a more livable community for members, bicyclists and the community at-large.
Goals
- To get more people riding more often more safely.
- To increase the voice and visibility of the Cascade Bicycle Club and the cycling community to improve facilities and the environment for cyclists.
- To promote cycling as a transportation alternative.
